During these formative years, Barry found his artistic community—a group of aspiring performers mentored by Western New York theatre legend Willie Judson. Under Judson's guidance, Barry developed the disciplined approach to his craft that continues to define his work today. These early collaborations instilled principles of dedication and artistic integrity that became the foundation of Barry's performance philosophy.

This dedication to craft paid dividends when Road Less Traveled Productions recognized his talent, leading to multiple collaborations that cemented his place in Buffalo's vibrant theater community.

From his foundations in theater, Barry naturally expanded his artistic reach into television, film, and commercial work.
